Troubadour giving wings to words

The work with Troubadour allows us to help our children discover the love of learning. Music, language, poetry and culture help bring joy to the children's lives and enable them to experience the satisfaction that comes from the skills they build through their work with Troubadour.

Troubadour's highly qualified Teaching Artists work with students and teachers to integrate literature, writing and music into the academic curriculum. Our programs help students improve their reading, writing and other academic skills. Children also explore creative self-expression and develop critical thinking, problem-solving and collaborative skills. Teachers learn, too! Our Teaching Artists model innovative strategies, techniques and activities that align with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in English Language Arts and selected parts of the Social Studies and Arts Frameworks. The success of our programs is founded on almost 30 years of working with urban, suburban and rural students of all backgrounds and abilities in more than 50 Massachusetts districts, including Boston, Brookline, Duxbury, Framingham, Lexington, Lowell, Newton, Rochester, Topsfield and Worcester.
