Early Childhood Literacy Program

Little_WingsLittle Wings is designed for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms in schools, as well as for Community Day Care and After-School Programs.

Through movement, rhythm, rhyme, and song, the program engages young children in a series of entertaining and enriching activities that support the development of:

  • Social bonds and listening skills
  • Strong literacy and language skills
  • Memory and aural discrimination skills
  • Confidence, school readiness, and a love of learning

Little Wings also supports Professional Development for Early Childhood teaching staff through classroom modeling, professional development workshops, and curriculum resources.Pre_Kindergarden

The program was developed by Troubadour co-founder and Teaching Artist Victor Cockburn based on his more than 33 years of experience working with thousands of Pre-K-8 students and teachers, helping them give wings to their words.
